My boyfriend and I went to a small lake at midnight, hoping to find a great spot to watch the meteor shower together. It was extremely dark and I was so happy when I could see the Milky Way with my own eyes. It made me so happy to witness that in The Netherlands because we have lots of light pollution.
I’m a big Astro/Science nerd and used to dream of becoming an astronaut when I was a kid. Back then, my grandfather took me on “star-walks” through dark alleys and used to teach me about the Milky Way, the planets, and the stars, it always fascinated me.
I absolutely loved this week’s theme “Night” and was so curious to try out the extra credit “Astrophotography”, since I’ve never done that before. Hopefully, I can shoot some stars with a wide-angle lens soon, so I have more reach!
